Life laundry

The techniques of life laundry are essential for anyone who has ever thought or said any of the following:

  • My house has become a prison
  • I can’t move forward my – possessions are holding me back
  • I want to make room for my partner’s possessions but I don’t want to give up my space
  • I need to make space, but I haven’t got the energy
  • I want to make changes, but don’t know where to start
  • I want to display items that are precious to me without them taking over my life.

I will coach you in life laundry techniques that will empower you to make the changes that you want. These changes can range from simply tackling tasks in a different order right through to making a wholesale reorganisation to your home and possessions – and all points in between.

What is life laundry?
At its heart, life laundry is all about throwing off those things that are holding you back in order to make a fresh start. What makes life laundry different from other forms of self-help is that it is primarily concerned with the practical, physical things in life, like your home, your possessions and your whole approach to life. These disciplines can be combined with a wide range of personal development techniques, allowing you to create the best possible future for yourself.

Although life laundry has enjoyed a popular resurgence recently, its disciplines have been in existence for many years and have helped millions of people all over the world.

Why do I need life laundry?
It’s all too easy to find yourself surrounded by goods and possessions that once seemed indispensable but are now holding your life back. Or you may have to make room for someone else’s things. No matter how willing you are to make the changes, they are always more difficult than you first think – life laundry can give you the support you need to sort things out and move on with your life.

Using techniques that have been refined over centuries, I will help you to make changes to the way that you live and remove the negative constraints that goods and possessions can impose.

My promises to you
Some things are flexible and can be tailored to your personal needs, but the basic framework will always remain the same:

  • The initial 20 minute telephone consultation is completely free – I will even pay for the cost of the call.
  • You are under no obligation to accept all of my recommendations and can reject or modify any that you choose. All I ask is that you keep me informed about the changes you are making.
  • I will always seek to minimise costs wherever possible and will not incur any unnecessary expense.

What happens in a consultation?
This will depend entirely on your needs. Some consultations can be carried out adequately over the telephone, although most will take place at a pre-arranged meeting, usually at your home. A home visit will be necessary if you require any physical assistance or detailed advice on storage or disposal solutions.

I will only give advice or make recommendations if you specifically ask me to. All the choices will be yours and you will remain in control of the whole process – after all, it’s your life.

Life laundry has been described as the application of objective common sense in a world where this is far from a common commodity. For this reason, each consultation is conducted in plain English, with no mystical mumbo-jumbo or unnecessary jargon.

How much does each session cost?
The initial 20 minute telephone consultation is completely free. During this time, I will take down full details and perform a preliminary assessment.

Although the basic cost for each subsequent consultation is the same, other factors may affect the price, including travelling costs and the availability of discounts. Again, this will be discussed with you during the initial consultation.

I will always seek to offer the most effective option, minimising your time and expense wherever possible.

How many further consultations will I need?
This all depends on the service that you require. Some uncomplicated topics can be adequately covered in a single meeting, while others will require more. This will be discussed with you during the initial consultation.

Do I need to accept all of the recommendations?
No, you only need put into action those recommendations that you feel completely comfortable with.
